EVA Foam Puzzle Mats are an amazing tool that you can use to build all types of elaborate obstacle courses with. In my opinion they are a great alternative to having to build heavy wooden equipment, they store really easily and if you or your child happens to trip on the course the foam won’t hurt them. Here is a quick example of several obstacles you can build with Puzzle Mats. In the Premium Version of this course you will receive coaching on all types of ways to set up obstacles with Puzzle Mats. Along with this free course I have a PDF Document available for you at the bottom of the page that has a list of essential equipment for helping your child become Strong, Agile and Confident. The equipment is highly utilized in my course and is very versatile. The second video is how one of my clients utilizes the puzzle mats under my direction via video at their home you can see how versatile they are.

What About Strength Training?
In this video you can see one of my online clients I have been working with 100% online since the pandemic started and he has just recently developed the strength to do a full pull up from hanging. We also work on pushing, leg and core stability strength. Depending on my clients needs we either do direct strength work or let the obstacle course organically build it. Another one of my teenage online clients can do over 5 strict pull ups, but he always trains with his shirt off and it wasn’t appropriate to show video of him. There are a few clients that only work strength training and while it is effective and linier in development I have found that agility work from the parkour and acrobatic elements I teach is really necessary to bring the whole system together. After all my motto is “Strength, Agility and Confidence,“ not just strength.
Strength Progressions For Pushing And Pulling
Below you will see the progressions that can be used to help build Pulling and Pushing strength. However, Strength training is not always easy with children as many of them don’t understand the abstract idea of repetitive movement to build total body strength and to them it is boring. In my premium course I will show how to incorporate strength in a way that’s fun for kids and at the right time when they are ready for it. Kids will put in the work if they think it’s fun and are ready for it.

'If you enjoy “do it yourself” projects, the video below shows you how to make simple suspension trainers that can be a quick alternative to gymnastics rings if they are not available immediately. However, please acquire some as soon as possible as they are extremely useful.
